Who Are We?
Welcome to Bangiya Parishad Qatar (BPQ), a vibrant socio-cultural organization affiliated by Indian Cultural Center (ICC) under the aegis of Embassy of India in Qatar. Founded by culturally-conscious and socially-minded Bengali expatriates, BPQ stands as a testament to the enduring vision of the Bengali community in the Gulf region.
Since our establishment in 1996, BPQ has grown from a cherished dream into a flourishing reality. For over four decades, Bengali families have journeyed to Qatar—the Pearl of the Middle East—seeking opportunities while carrying their rich cultural heritage. Our organization is the proud culmination of this continuous journey, bridging the bond between the motherland and our home away from home.
Driven by genuine enthusiasm and social sensitivity, our members work tirelessly to celebrate the vibrant cultural diversity of India and Bengal. We represent and honor the traditions of West Bengal, Tripura, Assam, and communities from across India, weaving them together into a colorful tapestry of cultural expression that enriches life in Qatar.

Who Are We?
Bangiya Parishad Qatar (BPQ) is a socio-cultural organization affiliated with the Indian Cultural Center (ICC) under the Indian Embassy in Qatar. Established in 1996, BPQ was founded by culturally-engaged Bengali expatriates with the mission to preserve and celebrate Bengali heritage and cultural identity in the region.
Though formally established in 1996, BPQ represents "a continuous process of a desire of socio-cultural relationship" among the Bengali diaspora. The organization emerged from the long-standing presence of Bengali expatriates in Qatar, where community members have resided for over four decades.
We serve the expatriate Bengali community drawn from West Bengal, Tripura, Assam, and across India. Our organization operates as an extended family, prioritizing social sensitivity and cultural preservation. We actively foster community bonds while maintaining cultural connections to our motherland.
BPQ welcomes all members to participate in our cultural events, social causes, and community service initiatives. We believe in the power of collective action and invite you to be part of this vibrant Bengali cultural representation in Qatar.
